PasteQuill uses the information needed to process your video request and protect the service.

Information we handle

We process the submitted YouTube video ID, video metadata, transcript text, task status and request accounting. A signed browser cookie identifies your recent records and free allowance; there is no account or cross-device synchronization.

Storage and retention

Transcript text becomes unavailable after 24 hours. Scheduled deletion may take longer during a backlog or outage. Recent-record metadata, task status and cost records are kept separately for operation and troubleshooting. Removing History records removes your access link, not another visitor’s shared cache.

For short-term abuse protection, the application stores keyed network hashes rather than raw IP addresses. Inactive hashes are eligible for cleanup after two minutes; scheduled cleanup can lag. Hosting and API providers may also process request information under their own policies.

Service providers

Vercel hosts the application; Supabase stores application data. Supadata processes caption and transcription requests. YouTube Data API supplies video metadata when generation eligibility is checked. If enabled, Inngest schedules background work; transcript bodies are not included in our scheduler step outputs.

Your choices

You can remove recent transcript records and clear the browser cookie. Clearing the cookie removes access to your previous browser session; it does not cancel an already submitted task. We do not sell transcript content. Optional Google Analytics loads only if configured and you choose to allow it. It uses analytics cookies; use the analytics preferences control to withdraw consent. We do not deliberately send transcript text, video URLs or private result identifiers to analytics.
